## Description
Directly responsible to the General Manager of Human Resources. Assures administration and management of Plant and Corporate programs relating to employee relations in the plant.
Essential Duties (Other duties may be assigned as necessary)
1) Administers policies and programs relating to employee relations within the plant. Provides policy direction, guidance and general assistance to the Plant Manager and administrative staff.
2) Coordinates preparation and review of information on performance evaluations. Recommends training programs to meet plant and individuals needs.
3) Counsels with plant management on matters involving organization structure and personnel. Develops recommendations as deemed necessary for review the Corporate Human Resources.
4) Coordinates and administers approved programs to assure continuous, timely and effective employee communications.
5) Monitors and administers employee relations policies and programs such as salary administration, safety, 401K, training, supervisory development, recruitment, performance appraisals, seniority, vacations, holidays, moving expenses, retirement programs, overtime, education expense, termination pay, service awards, leaves of absence and layoff and reinstatement to assure conformation thereto. Recommends changes, where appropriate.
6) Administers and implements policies and programs to insure positive employee relations, thereby making unions unnecessary.
7) Provides continuous and timely information and evaluation to appropriate levels of management of current, pending or developing labor relations matters and activities at plant locations.
8) Forecasts unit manpower requirements for future years and develops plans and programs to meet those needs.
9) Prepares, implements and administers the Affirmative Action Program for the plant.
10) Develops and/or reviews plant accident prevention and medical programs, including continuous evaluations of such programs.
11) Reviews employee relations and administrative procedures and record keeping functions within the plant and recommends such modification as may be required.
12) Monitors unemployment compensation, worker''s compensation and medical claims.
13) Directs plant employment function.
14) Maintains facility and personnel security, as required.
15) Participates in civic and charitable campaigns, as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
